Specky's Art influence 2.0

I first made my influence map years ago and it was inspired by other dA artists. But I realized that I didn't really ever describe me and it was more of a fan declaration of love than anything. So here's really what makes Specky, Specky.

Right, so explanation from right to left;
Books. I mean, my headboard to my bed is a bookshelf, I have a mini book shelf, and two large bookshelves. Kind of obvious.

Films. I have so many favorite films that it's hard to put them all here. But they certainly influence me a lot. I tend to do paintings after them or get inspired to write or sometimes poetry even.

Sherlock Holmes. I found my first serious relationship because of the books and shows, It sparked my love for murder mystery, and it's something my Grandpa and I love so much. 

Music. I am always listening to music constantly. Which includes drawing. kind of obvious but it's important to me.

Monet and Van Gogh. I just love the way they paint, they're two of my favorite painters besides Klimt. I mean, panting in general is something that influences me and I greatly appreciate everyday? So they're just main, big examples but I have a lot more favorite painters than just these two. 

1950s art. Oh man. I just love the 1950s era (besides the blatant sexism and racisms and blah) for almost the romantic mood it has and the art style is something that really grooves me. 

Greek/Roman art. Oh god. I love Greek/Roman history so much and it's played a major role in my life ever since I was young, like elementary school age. They inspire me with their fantastic art (once again, excluding the blatant sexism and racism) and crazy mythology. 

Waluigi. Hahah this is so strange. But it was the best weird example for photography I could find? I love photography so much, especially one with great contrast which this photo has. And it also represents how much random shit really inspire me? So this was a win win. 

Pinup art. I mean, who doesn't love pinup art? Not to mention the fact that I usually draw monster girls using a pin up art as reference. 

1920s art. I mean, the simplistic but defined art. And the romantic history before the stockmarket freaking body slammed into the ground. It was a fantastic time for writers, musicians, and artists of all kinds. It's a very influential time period and something I love too. 

Studio Ghibli. I grew up watching these movies and they heavily influence me and my expectation for animated films and they're freaking amazing rolemodel movies for women and little girls?? Not to mention how much Miyazaki is inspired by flight and airplanes in his films that I recently noticed. They all touch so deeply with me.

Game Grumps. These fucking nerds. Ugh. They're the sole reason I go on youtube at all these days and their daily commentary ugh. Most of the time if I'm drawing something big I'll put on gameplays of them and just listen as I draw/paint.
